In Autumn, Wigmore Medical will be launching its Orthopaedic and Spinal Unit Surgical Centre in Yerevan, Armenia, as well as a branch of Wigmore Medical in the same building.
In the UK, Wigmore Medical team now numbers over 70 people and continues to grow, namely with the opening of Wigmore Laboratories in Summer which will focus on Specials.
By 2013, F.A.C.E. had become a three-day event, the largest aesthetic conference in the UK, and held at the QE2 conference centre opposite Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.
At the turn of the decade, Wigmore Medical became the exclusive distributor for brands such as Glo Therapeutics and Glo Minerals, as well as the revolutionary ZO Skin Health by Dr Zein Obagi. It also expanded to have the largest sales representative team in the industry covering the whole of the UK.
F.A.C.E., now a two-day event with hundreds of attendees, became an independent company, and, along with the purchase of Body Language Journal, founded the marketing division servicing Wigmore Medical and the aesthetics industry.
Wigmore Medical established its own training centre at 21-23 Wigmore Street in 2005. Hosting in-house as well as external courses, it provides CPD certified courses in Toxins, Fillers, Skincare and CPR to medical and aesthetic practitioners throughout the country and further abroad.
The early noughties saw the company adding products from Q-Med and Innomed to its aesthetic range, as well as adding aesthetic machinery from the likes of Syneron and others to its product portfolio, becoming a one-stop-shop for all clinical needs.
The beginning of the century saw the setting-up of training courses for facial aesthetics at Wigmore, while in 2001 Wigmore Medical held a seminar event on injectable fillers with Drs Jean and Alastair Carruthers for 75 attendees. This seminar series became the forerunner to the annual Facial Aesthetics Exhibition and Conference (F.A.C.E).
Wigmore Medical became the first importer of BOTOXTM in the UK. This was the beginning of its expansion into the Medical Aesthetics field, and was followed by many other 'firsts' in the industry.
In 1998, Porter Nash entered into partnership with the Henri Schein group for its medical equipment and mail order business, while Wigmore Medical became an independent company and moved to its current premises on 23 Wigmore Street.
Wigmore Medical Ltd was established in 1985 as the pharmaceutical business of Porter Nash Medical, a retail pharmacy and medical equipment mail order company.
