Mineral sunscreens
Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30: this product doubles up as sunscreen and makeup primer. It comes in a universal tint that adds a silky matte finish and blurs imperfections.
It’s perfect for oily and acne-prone skin. The Sunscreen+ Primer SPF 30 offers broad-spectrum protection against UVB and UVA rays. The formula features natural melanin that protects against HEV light (the blue light emitted from phone and computer screens) and vitamin E that adds an antioxidant boost and protection against oxidative stress.
Broad-Spectrum SPF 50: similarly to the Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30, this formula includes fractioned melanin to protect against HEV light. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide offer protection against UVB and UVA rays. Broad-Spectrum SPF is formulated with the most sensitive skin types in mind, so the lightweight, gentle formula makes it perfect for post-procedure skin. This product also includes the exclusive ZOX12 antioxidant complex which gives a 12-hour protection against free radical damage and IR-A rays. The formula is also enriched with moisture replenishment complex and plant extracts to soothe irritation and restore healthy hydration levels.
Benefits of mineral sunscreen
Chemical sunscreens absorbs UV rays and convert them to heat which is then released from the skin before they penetrate the dermis and cause damage. However, some of the chemical filters are also absorbed into our bloodstream and cause disruption to the endocrine and reproductive systems.
Mineral sunscreens rest on top of the skin where they physically scatter and refract the UV radiation hitting the skin. In the context of ZO, mineral sunscreen are a must for post-procedure protection and skin going through the cycles of dryness, peeling and irritation.
Chemical sunscreens
Daily Sheer SPF 50: non-greasy, lightweight sunscreen that blends seamlessly into the skin and leaves a translucent matte finish. This is the best water and sweat-resistant formula ZO has to offer and it also includes fractioned melanin to shield against HEV, ZOX12 to provide continuous antioxidant protection and a blend of natural esters and hydrators to maintain skin’s natural moisture levels and prevent dryness from outdoor exposure.
Smart Tone SPF 50: featuring ZOX12, fractioned melanin and FDA-approved filters, Smart Tone SPF 50 is the perfect daily SPF choice for a reliable defence against UVB/ UVA, HEV, IR-A and free radicals. This formula features a patented technology— customisable colour beads that blend into most skin tones and redness inhibitors that help with skin discolouration.
The customisable colour beads allow it to blend with darker skin tones without leaving an ashy/white residue which is a common problem with regular SPF formulas.
