Mesotherapy-The secret of effortless beauty

Dr Zunaid Alli discusses his experience of using STYLAGE Hydro and Hydromax

French women are told from an early age that the first step towards true beauty lies in a glowing, well-hydrated skin. In France, skincare products represent a highly profitable market for the cosmetic industry; however, no matter how much hydrating cream you give to your skin, the results will remain only superficial as the components cannot pass through the barrier of the epidermis.
VIVACY Laboratoires—as an ambassador of French natural chic and beauty—could not complete its portfolio of fillers without a mesotherapy line, composed of STYLAGE Hydro and Hydromax, indicated for deep to intense dehydration.
Dr Zunaid Alli, an experienced aesthetic practitioner with a background in general and acute medicine and oncology, and KOL for VIVACY, is particularly renowned among patients for his great treatment results using those products. During CCR, Dr Alli kindly answered some questions:

Q: What are the main indications for STYLAGE Hydro/Hydromax?
A: Stylage Hydro and Stylage Hydromax form part of the Mesotherapy product portfolio. The main indication for both these overall is deep dermal hydration and skin elasticity improvement.

Q: What are the main profiles of patients for mesotherapy treatment using STYLAGE Hydro/Hydromax?
A: Because they address a variety of indications STYLAGE Hydro and Hydromax cover an extremely wide range of patients of all ages. STYLAGE Hydro contains 14mg/ml of pure hyaluronic acid with antioxidant mannitol in its formulation. As it is non crosslinked, it can be injected into any area of the body requiring deep hydration in the skin. This includes any area of the face, neck, décolletage and hands. This spans all patients across the various age levels. STYLAGE  Hydro works well on its own and can be used in combination with other therapies such as chemical peels, and radiofrequency.
STYLAGE Hydromax is a higher grade of product and although has a slightly lower concentration of hyaluronic acid at 12.5mg/ml—the product is crosslinked, with antioxidant sorbitol. This allows it to be injected into any areas of the face or body where dermal restructuring is needed and skin elasticity requires improvement. STYLAGE Hydromax works as a great product as it can be injected directly into fine lines and wrinkles and great for periorbital rejuvenation.

Q: How long does it last for?
A: If the injection protocol is observed, two to three treatments are required three to six months apart, and the effects can last up to 12 months.

Q: What are the main benefits of using Hydro/Hydromax?
A: Dehydration, skin laxity and skin sagging: those are the main indications that can be improved. STYLAGE Hydro and Hydromax can also considerably change the appearance of superficial scars or heavy-smoker lines around the lips.

Q: How long have you been using Hydro/Hydromax for?
A: I have been using STYLAGE Hydro for around six years and STYLAGE Hydromax for around two years with great results.

Q: From a clinical point of view, what do you like the most about these products?
A: They are very easy products to inject and produce great results in patients. They represent great aesthetic level skincare and address issues that do not require thicker, or more volumising fillers. This makes these products very versatile. They can be used on patients who do not necessarily want treatment with toxins or lasers.
