Dear Wigmore Family and Friends,
I hope you and your families are all healthy and well.
By the time that this edition of the newsletter has gone to press, we will be well into our second month of lockdown—and maybe even seeing its easing. In the meantime, however, I have been struck how quickly—and successfully—the aesthetic industry has responded to this sudden change in working models and embraced the home office.
Wigmore Medical has developed new ways to support you by introducing a new drop shipment service which allows you to send skincare directly to your clients (see below). Our sales representatives are holding daily webinars on key products and we have started to offer our training courses online.
It is not just Wigmore, however, who has had to adapt. On pages 4-5 you can see how some of our account holders have utilised online tools—as well as embracing our offerings—to face these challenging times with aplomb and are seeing positive results. Our suppliers, such as Merz, Teoxane and Sinclair have also been building on their online offerings to keep the industry up to date on the latest products and techniques, which is very welcome. It is likely that even after the lifting of current restrictions, many will be keen to hold on to some of the developments that have arisen over the past few weeks, and we will see further integration of aesthetics and technology. If you do have any tips or suggestions about working in this new environment, please do send them through to us so we can feature them in coming issues.
Wigmore Pharmacy has remained open throughout the lockdown period in addition to our finance and customer service teams, albeit not all on site. For those who are coming in, they have access to PPE, sanitisers and washing facilities, as well as homemade cakes and lunches from their colleagues—keeping up morale and helping share the lockdown’s waistline-challenges! So, if you do have any questions, or wish to place orders you are still able to do so through the website, email or telephone. Our couriers are doing a wonderful job in getting your orders to you and your clients, although there will be the odd delay given the situation.
In the meantime, please keep you and your loved ones safe, and we will see you on the other side of the lockdown, stronger and more determined.
Sending you all our best wishes and thoughts.
Sincerely,
Bedo Eghiayan
