Wigmore Medical are delighted to announce the launch of their new training course, offering an introduction to the management of complications from injectable treatments.
Led and designed by award winning international speakers, Dr Lee Walker and Dr Raul Cetto, the course aims is to help educate and equip delegates with the skills and knowledge required to safely identify and manage complications that may arise during or post injectable treatments.
Our primary aim as aesthetic practitioners is to minimise the risk of complications occurring by having high-quality training and continually developing our skills. But remember, complications do occur.
It is inevitable that during your aesthetic career you will have a patient return with a complication, however minor. The important part, is knowing the danger zones to avoid to minimise the risk of complications as well as potential solutions should it occur.
This full day course will give delegates a deeper understanding of complications associated with the use of hyaluronic acid fillers and botulinum toxins.
CPD verified and validated by Hamilton Fraser cosmetic insurance, this course offers a unique and practical perspective by introducing an interactive approach to learning based on case-based studies.
Course structure
The day will focus heavily on the 3D anatomy of the face, including danger zones and depth, angle of injection and distribution of vasculature. Delegates will be presented with case studies and will learn how to avoid, diagnose and manage a range of complications including:
• Vascular occlusion
• Delated onset hypersensitivity
• Nodules and granulomas
• Biofilm
• Ptosis
• Malar oedema
Gains
On completion of the course delegates will have an evidenced approach to avoiding, diagnosing and managing complications associated with injectable treatments.
This course will serve as an excellent opportunity for delegates to familiarise themselves with common complications and to develop a system on how to manage different types of complications.
The first Complications training session for 2020 will take place on 15th February. To register now, please visit wigmoremedical.com/Courses/Index/Complications
