Medical hosted another successful Open Day event at the Royal Society of
Medicine on Tuesday 4th April. Led by a faculty of leading doctors and industry
professionals, this networking and educational event offered valuable insight
into the exciting world of aesthetic medicine. With a focus on top brands
such as Merz Aesthetics, Invasix and ZO Skin Health, and including new products
on the market, tips on how to improve the success of your clinic, this event
had something for everyone. Merz Injection TechniqueMasterclass This was led by Dr Tahera
Bhojani-Lynch, an internationally recognised consultant and surgeon, who
showcased the full Belotero range and Radiesse +, as well as offering
delegates tips and guidance to optimally harmonise treatment of the face. Delegates left this session
not only with newly acquired product knowledge, but also with the confidence
needed to effectively use these brands in their clinical practice. Invasix sessions These sessions were introduced
by Mr Neil Wolfenden, the Marketing Director of Invasix, and were consequently
hosted by Ms Marie-Charlotte Bez, Area Export Manager for Cocoon Medical, and
Dr Gunjan Bedi, an aesthetic doctor and director of MediSkin Care. Attending delegates were
introduced to the Cooltech system, offering cryoadipolysis for localised fat
reduction, and also benefited from a live demonstration thanks to our very
patient model. The following session gave an
overview of fractional radio frequency and the benefits of using these systems
in clinic. Delegates were also able to learn how this could be used for
treating active acne, scarring and skin tightening. VANIQA Ms Julie Van Onselen,
Director, trainer and dermatology expert, led an introductory session on
VANIQA, the first prescription only topical treatment for female facial
hirsutism. This covered patient needs and
challenges and explored the clinical evidence and research surrounding VANIQA
as a combined treatment option with lasers. Delegates left with a new
found curiosity for this innovative product and were considering integrating
it into their clinic treatment options. | ZO Skin Health This evening session had a
great attendance and delegates were impressed with the extent of knowledge and
experience offered by the speaker. Mr Rick Woodin, Vice President of Global
Research and Development, took to the stage with passion and confidence in the
ZO skincare range and the hard work that has gone into the research and
development process. He focused on the brand’s
innovation process, skin health fundamentals, as well as the latest product
innovations including Rozatrol, the all in one solution for rosacea. If you
