In conversation with Dr Pradnya Apte

Wigmore News met with Dr Pradnya to discuss all things IMAGE Skincare

What’s your favourite aesthetic treatment to perform and why?
My favourite aesthetic treatment to perform is arguably Ellanse, a collagen stimulating volume restorer or dermal fillers to achieve a natural rejuvenated appearance. When it’s combined with the correct homecare, the results are even better.

What is your signature approach when it comes to treating your patients?
My signature approach when treating my patients is definitely my 3D approach to treating the face looking at all angles and profiles to create harmony and balance to the face.

Why do you use IMAGE Skincare products?
I have been using the brand since 2014 and have loved seeing the brand evolve and grow into the skincare industry powerhouse that it is today. I have seen consistently excellent results with my patients for a variety of skin concerns and my returning patient base, not only to buy the products but also to have their awardwinning peels, has seen my aesthetic clinic grow. I love the science behind the products, as well as the clinical studies attached to them.

There is a wonderful ethical philosophy behind the brand which makes it really coveted in my eyes, especially with the Care For Skin Foundation established by board-certified plastic surgeon and IMAGE co-founder Dr Marc Ronert, and the charity work they do. It is all about putting patients and people first.

Who does the range best suit and why?
What I love about IMAGE is that it is perfect for all ages, starting with Ormedic for younger ages, including pregnant women, right up to the MAX range for older skin.

Which are your must-have products and why?
My must have products are Daily Prevention Moisturiser (matte is a personal favourite) which contains the patent-pending XOSM Technology, MD Restoring Youth Serum (a Vitamin C serum which is light and contains hyaluronic acid, helps restore visible firmness and reduce lines and wrinkles) and MD Cleanser that gently revitalises dull skin with its blend of gycolic, salicylic and lactic acids. This cleanser also optimises canvas for application of IMAGE MD serums and cremes.

Do you use IMAGE Skincare personally? Which products?
Yes, of course; I adore the range and have seen consistent results for my own skin. I have been with the brand 10 years, I am super proud to say. Apart from above, I also love the Vital C Water Burst, as this provides intense hydration and prevents moisture loss—a real game changer and a definite addition to everybody’s skincare regime.

What do you enjoy most about working in aesthetics?
I love my job—it’s in all a days’ work when you go home and you’ve made someone feel more confident in themselves and to leave my clinic like they are walking on air—that is a feeling I love more than anything!

What do you think are the industry trends to watch?
Polynucleotides haven taken the aesthetic medicine industry by storm in the last 18 months but I do feel that treatments that include longevity and DNA repair are set to be the biggest trend in the next few years as treating the inside is now just as crucial, if not more so, than the outside.

What are the future plans for you and your practice?
I’m thrilled to continue my partnership with IMAGE Skincare. As a KOL, I’ve been able to share the transformative benefits of their products with my patients. I’m particularly excited about the innovative developments planned for 2025. These advancements will undoubtedly further enhance the results my clients achieve, ensuring they receive the highest quality skincare solutions. We are planning to introduce a clinic dedicated to wellness and longevity and this ties in with our ethos perfectly.

How does IMAGE Skincare complement the aesthetics treatments you offer?
Skin preparation is the key to achieving optimal aesthetic results. Poor skin quality means one can’t achieve the best aesthetic outcomes from non-surgical treatments. Good skin quality also means your results will last longer! The brand’s focus on clinical-grade ingredients and tailored solutions perfectly aligns with our commitment to providing effective and personalised care. Here’s how Image Skincare enhances our aesthetic treatments:

Pre-treatment preparation
IMAGE Skincare’s products can help prepare the skin for procedures like chemical peels or laser resurfacing by improving skin health and reducing sensitivity.

Post-treatment recovery
The brand offers a range of products designed to soothe, hydrate, and protect the skin after treatments, promoting faster healing and optimal results.

Maintaining results
By incorporating IMAGE Skincare into a daily routine, patients can help maintain the benefits of their aesthetic treatments and prevent future skin concerns with effective ingredients that are extremely results driven.
