Wigmore Medical has partnered with Dr Lauren Jamieson to provide bespoke injectable training on the safe and appropriate use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. This is an intensive and educational hands-on day for any aesthetic professional who wants to go beyond the basic toxins and fillers stage and has a particular interest in mastering techniques for treating the lower face.
This training day explores intermediate and advanced
techniques with needle and cannula approaches, with a firm emphasis on facial
analysis and topographic anatomy.
Techniques to
reduce complications and use of appropriate products will be discussed and
demonstrated. This course is designed to facilitate the transition for you to
develop intermediate and advanced levels of practice in the lower face. You
will benefit from a structured and detailed approach from Dr Lauren Jamieson,
exploring concepts of facial anatomy as well as her expert knowledge and
experience of a wealth of products and multi-modality treatment options.
Learning is facilitated through
demonstration and practical approaches with close supervision and support from
the faculty.

appreciation of the topographical anatomy of the lower face, in relation to
toxin and dermal filler treatment strategies
2. Gain insight into the
age-related changes of the lower face and develop an advanced awareness of the
injectable techniques to correct these areas
3. An advanced awareness of
facial analysis in order to formulate appropriate strategies to correct the
age-related changes of the lower face, safely and effectively

Wigmore Training will make every
effort to source suitable models that require treatment in all or most of the
above listed anatomical areas.
Product Selection and Hands-on Practice
Our aim is to give you the skills to assess your own
patients optimally, as slight variations with individual anatomy can occur. We will
also review which products to use and at what depth in the dermis, before going
through the most frequently requested anatomical areas of the lower face.
Nowadays there are many dermal filler products on the market, which can make product selection overwhelming, however product selection in relation to patient tissue quality and bone structure are key to delivering a quality treatment in line with patient expectations. This course will help you navigate and simplify these choices and explain why understanding different rheological properties of dermal filler products is of paramount importance in order to best enhance a patient’s appearance in accordance with their skin condition.
We are proud to partner with Croma Pharma UK for this course who have been pioneers in the manufacture of premium grade hyaluronic acid injectables since 1976. Their compact range of versatile dermal facial fillers have an excellent safety profile, with over 50 million syringes used worldwide to date. The company have recently launched a new botulinum toxin as well as a range of polynucleotide skinboosters and more information about Croma and their extensive aesthetics portfolio can be found here: https://at.croma.at/home-en/company
To maximise
hands-on time during these busy training sessions, we will send you the course
slides prior to the training and request a prompt start on the day, so please
be on time. You are encouraged to bring your own models, but please inform us
in advance if you are unable to do so, as we will provide one for you. Class
size is a maximum of four, to ensure all delegates get enough practice and
one-on-one supervision from the trainer.
Important: If you are interested in learning techniques for treating the
upper face, including tear troughs, please register for our Advanced Toxins and Fillers Upper Face training day.
Topics to be covered in both advanced courses
Both advanced courses will cover the following
topics:
- Advanced face anatomy for injections and risk
areas

challenging (you can bring a picture on a USB stick or the patient as a model)
- The practical sessions will also cover model
assessment, preparation and injection process with the trainer
- Latest evidence-based medicine
Training Policy for delegates

Please make sure you have sufficient experience to attend this course
We will email you a brief questionnaire before you are admitted:
If you are an established practitioner with plenty of hands-on experience and experience of using cannulas, then we would suggest you attend the Upper Face training day that includes treatment of Tear Troughs.
On the other hand, if you are not quite at that level we would advise you attend a session that does NOT include Tear Troughs. Treatment of this area requires a high level of skill and experience of injectables, and for that reason we will not risk the safety of the live models.
